Kris Wright is an up-and-coming young racing driver who has already had success in several professional racing series. Prior to 2017, he competed in both the Pirelli World Challenge and the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge series. In 2017 he quickly became a star of the IMSA Prototype Challenge series, posting numerous podium finishes in its Mazda Prototype Challenge class and a victory at Watkins Glen International. He also competed in selected formula car races in 2017, starting in the USF2000 series before advancing to the Pro Mazda series with the same team he drives for in Prototype Challenge, multi-time team champion JDC MotorSports. By competing in different types of cars on many of the most famous road courses in North America, Wright has accelerated his learning curve, which was already in high gear due to his natural talent and his choice of driver coach, sports car legend Nic Jonsson. Insiders agree Wright has all the pieces in place for a long career as a professional race car driver, and Kris Wright Motorsports is committed to developing marketing programs for its partners that provide not only great exposure, but also a great return on their investment.
