Kris Wright, from Wexford, Pa., will be competing in his third series race of the season in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship on May 12-13 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The young driver who is in his third year of sports car racing competition will be making his debut at the hallowed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“I’m very excited about competing at Indianapolis,” said the 22-year-old who got his racing start in the Pirelli World Challenge. “Since I was a kid I’ve known about Indy, gone to races there and it’s been my dream to race at the Speedway like some of my heroes. To actually be able to drive and race across the bricks is somewhat of a dream come true. I’ve been working hard this year and I plan to give it my all at the USF2000 race this weekend.”
Follow Kris in the No. 34 John Cummiskey Racing (JCR) entry sponsored by PPG Paints, American Financial, and MasterTech. The USF2000 will be competing on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn road racing circuit in Indianapolis, Indiana.
